The U.S. Amps Legato 12 DSP is designed to upgrade factory and aftermarket car audio systems with clean power, flexible signal control, and advanced digital processing. This compact 12 channel DSP amplifier gives installers and audio builders the tools needed to shape the sound with precision while keeping the installation clean and efficient.

With a 96 kHz sampling rate and frequency response up to 22,000 Hz, the Legato 12 DSP is built to deliver detailed sound quality with excellent clarity. The internal 32/40 bit floating point DSP provides powerful audio processing with 1.2 billion MAC operations per second, giving users strong control over tuning, equalization, frequency response, and system configuration.

The Legato 12 DSP includes 12 speaker outputs, 12 processed RCA outputs, 8 RCA inputs, 8 high level speaker inputs, plus optical and coaxial digital inputs. It is compatible with vehicle electrical systems up to 16 volts, making it a flexible choice for modern car audio builds.

The unit also features six OPA2604AU dual FET input operational amplifiers, selected for low distortion, low noise, wide bandwidth, and excellent dynamic performance. These components help support clean signal handling and high quality audio reproduction.

DSP and Tuning Features

The U.S. Amps Legato 12 DSP gives users detailed control over system tuning through PC software. The configuration software provides access to equalizers, frequency response control, and advanced DSP settings, making it easier to fine tune a complete car audio system.

The internal DSP uses a 32/40 bit floating point architecture and operates at 400 MHz, delivering the processing power needed for accurate sound shaping and clean signal management.

OPA2604AU Audio Circuit Section

The Legato 12 DSP uses 6 pieces of OPA2604AU dual FET input operational amplifiers. These op amps are designed for enhanced AC performance and are known for low distortion, low noise, wide bandwidth, and strong dynamic performance.

The OPA2604AU design supports wide dynamic range and uses laser trimmed offset voltage to help reduce the need for interstage coupling capacitors. The component is specified for a temperature range of minus 13°F to plus 185°F.
